Filming Locations

  • Alnwick Castle

    The Castle's Guest Hall was used for some of the Hogwart's Library scenes. Harry crash lands the flying Ford Anglia in the Castle’s inner bailey.

  • Black Park

    Hagrid's cottage was built here.

    This was one of the locations used for the Hogwarts library along with Harrow Boarding School's library and Alnwick Castle's Guest Hall.

  • Christ Church

  • Durham Cathedral

    Platform 4 was used as Platform Nine and Three Quarters.

  • Lacock Abbey

    The Abbey was used for various Hogwarts scenes.

  • Leavesden Studios

    Leavesden Studios served as the primary production base for the film, housing major sets including Hogwarts Great Hall, Diagon Alley, and the Weasley family home.
