Alnwick Castle

Alnwick Castle, Alnwick, Northumberland, England

Alnwick Castle is a historic fortification and country house located in the town of Alnwick in Northumberland, northern England. It has been the seat of the Percy family, the Dukes of Northumberland, since 1309, making it one of the largest inhabited castles in England. The castle's medieval exterior contrasts with its opulent Italianate interior, which was remodelled in the nineteenth century. It is widely recognised as a filming location for the early Harry Potter films, where it served as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
