Christ Church

Christ Church, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England

Christ Church is one of the largest and most famous colleges of the University of Oxford, founded in 1546 by King Henry VIII. The college is notable for its Great Hall, which served as the model for the Great Hall of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter film series, and for its magnificent cathedral, which serves as both the college chapel and the cathedral of the Diocese of Oxford. Christ Church Meadow extends to the south of the college to the confluence of the rivers Cherwell and Thames. The college has educated thirteen British Prime Ministers, numerous other heads of government, and a wide range of prominent figures in public life.
