The Odyssey

Christopher Nolan's epic adaptation of Homer's ancient poem follows Odysseus, king of Ithaca, as he struggles for a decade to find his way home after the Trojan War. Along the way he faces gods, monsters, and trials that test his cunning and endurance, while his wife Penelope and son Telemachus contend with their own hardships at home. Written and directed by Nolan, the film assembles a sprawling ensemble cast for this large-scale action-adventure. It marks Nolan's first film built explicitly around Greek mythology.
