Shepperton Studios
Shepperton Studios is a major film and television production facility located in Shepperton, in the borough of Spelthorne in Surrey, approximately 15 miles southwest of central London. Founded in 1931, the studios have hosted an enormous range of major British and international productions over nearly a century, including Oliver!, The African Queen, Alien, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. The complex contains numerous sound stages, production offices, and back lot areas, and together with nearby Pinewood Studios forms the core of the British film production industry.
