Westminster

Westminster is a city within Greater London and the historic heart of the British capital, occupying a stretch of the north bank of the Thames between the City of London to the east and Kensington and Chelsea to the west. The area contains the principal institutions of British government, including the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, and the Supreme Court, as well as Westminster Abbey, one of the most significant religious and ceremonial buildings in the country. Westminster's West End encompasses major cultural venues including the National Gallery, the Tate Britain, and the theatres of the West End district.
