St. Paul's Cathedral is the Church of England cathedral church of the Bishop of London, situated on Ludgate Hill, the highest point in the City of London. The current cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, was built between 1675 and 1710 following the destruction of its medieval predecessor in the Great Fire of London of 1666. Its iconic dome, one of the largest in the world, dominates the London skyline and measures 111 metres in height; the cathedral is a Grade I listed building and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
