Hatton Garden
Hatton Garden is a street and district in the London Borough of Camden, historically associated with the jewellery trade and particularly renowned as the centre of the UK's diamond and precious stone industry. The area takes its name from Sir Christopher Hatton, a favourite of Elizabeth I, who acquired the land in the 16th century. The street and its surrounding lanes are lined with jewellers, goldsmiths, and gem dealers, and the area is home to a significant number of the UK's jewellery workshops. Hatton Garden is also known for being the location of a major high-value safety deposit box robbery in 2015.
