The Convocation House and Divinity School at Oxford's Bodleian Library were used for the scenes depicting Queen Anne's parliament.

Hampton Court's Tudor kitchens and the Cartoon Gallery were used in the film, with the gallery's long corridor used for one of the sequences in which the ailing Queen Anne is wheeled through the palace.
