Filming Locations

  • Charlestown

    Charlestown harbour stood in for the fictional occupied Channel Islands village in the film, with the Pier House Hotel used as the Bell and Dragon pub from which Liam Devlin (Donald Sutherland) is ejected through a window.

  • Mapledurham

    The Church of St. Margaret is used as the Nazis hideout following their discovery. The house where Liam Devlin first meets Johanna Gray can be passed on the narrow road in to Mapledurham.

  • Mapledurham Watermill

    The watermill is where the Nazis are first discovered as one of them saves a drowning child.
