The aircrew drink at a pub called 'The Jackdaw' which was filmed here.

Duxford Airfield
Used for most of the RAF ground sequences. During the filming of a bombing raid, the single Belfast Truss hangar was blown up, apparently without permission. The two remaining hangars on the site are now listed buildings.

Hawkinge Aerodrome
RAF Hawkinge was one of the film's three primary airfield locations, where replica hangars were constructed and a large group of Spitfires was assembled for the aerial combat sequences.

North Weald
Many of the ground scenes were shot here. This was also used as the base for most of the RAF aircraft used for the flying scenes.

St. Katherine Docks
St Katharine Docks was used for sequences depicting the London Blitz, with partly demolished warehouses and buildings set alight to represent bomb-damaged streets.
