Bletchley Park
Bletchley Park is a Victorian mansion and estate located in Bletchley, a district of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, which served as the principal centre for Allied codebreaking operations during the Second World War. The site became home to the Government Code and Cypher School from 1939, and the codebreakers working there, including Alan Turing, made crucial breakthroughs in deciphering German Enigma-encrypted communications. The work carried out at Bletchley Park is credited with significantly shortening the war and is considered foundational to the development of modern computing. The site is now a museum and heritage attraction open to the public.
