Symonds Yat
Symonds Yat is a scenic village and viewpoint located in the Wye Valley in Herefordshire, where the River Wye cuts a dramatic horseshoe meander through a wooded limestone gorge. The viewpoint of Symonds Yat Rock rises to approximately 150 metres above the river and offers panoramic views over the surrounding forested valley, which forms part of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village itself straddles the river, historically divided between England and Wales, and is a popular destination for walkers, canoeists, and visitors to the Wye Valley.
