Rotherham
Rotherham is a large town and metropolitan borough in South Yorkshire, England, situated at the confluence of the rivers Don and Rother approximately 6 miles northeast of Sheffield. The town has a long history of iron and steel production, and its industrial heritage is reflected in the Magna Science Adventure Centre, located in a converted steelworks. The metropolitan borough also includes the market town of Wath upon Dearne and the historic Roche Abbey, a ruined 12th-century Cistercian monastery set in a landscaped valley.
