Nene Valley Railway
The Nene Valley Railway is a heritage steam railway operating along a section of the River Nene valley in Cambridgeshire. The line runs between Peterborough and the village of Wansford, a distance of approximately seven and a half miles, and is operated by volunteers using a collection of steam and diesel locomotives of both British and continental European origin. The railway is notable for its international locomotive collection and its use as a film and television location, including appearances in the James Bond film Octopussy. It is based at Wansford station, which serves as its headquarters and workshop.
