The building was originally constructed in the early 19th century as St George's Hospital and was converted into a hotel, reopening in 1991 after a major restoration. The hotel is known for its opulent Regency-inspired interiors and its position on one of London's most prestigious corners, at the junction of Knightsbridge, Grosvenor Place, and Hyde Park. It is one of London's most exclusive hotels and is managed by Oetker Collection.
