Islington

Islington is an inner London borough located immediately north of the City of London, and also the name of the main district within it, incorporating areas such as Angel, Highbury, Canonbury, and Finsbury. The borough is largely residential and commercial in character, with a mixture of Georgian and Victorian terraces, and the Upper Street area around Angel is known for its restaurants, bars, and independent shops. Islington contains the Sadler's Wells Theatre, a world-renowned contemporary dance venue, and the Business Design Centre, and has historically been associated with political radicalism and literary culture.
