Hackney

Hackney is an inner London borough located immediately northeast of the City of London, encompassing districts including Dalston, Stoke Newington, Hoxton, Hackney Wick, and Clapton. The borough has undergone rapid gentrification and transformation since the early 2000s and has developed a strong identity associated with independent culture, street art, creative industries, and nightlife. Hackney Wick, at the eastern edge of the borough, is adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and contains a high concentration of artist studios and creative spaces.
