Douglas
Douglas is the capital and largest town of the Isle of Man, a self-governing Crown dependency located in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. The town is situated on a sweeping bay on the south-east coast of the island and is home to the Manx parliament, Tynwald, as well as the island's main port and commercial centre. Douglas has a Victorian promenade lined with terraced hotels and is the terminus of several of the island's historic electric and steam railways. The population of the town is approximately 27,000, making it home to roughly a third of the island's residents.
