Chiswick is a district in west London in the London Borough of Hounslow, situated on the north bank of the River Thames between Hammersmith and Brentford. The area is known for Chiswick House, an outstanding example of Palladian architecture built in the early 18th century for Lord Burlington with grounds laid out in the English landscape style.
