Chelmsford

Chelmsford is a city and the county town of Essex, England, situated approximately 30 miles northeast of central London on the River Can and River Chelmer. It was granted city status in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, making it one of England's newest cities. The city is an important commercial and administrative centre for the county and has strong rail connections to London Liverpool Street, making it a significant commuter hub.
