Australia House
Australia House is the High Commission of Australia in the United Kingdom, situated on a prominent island site at the junction of The Strand and Aldwych in central London. It was constructed between 1913 and 1918 and represents one of the finest examples of Edwardian Baroque architecture in London. The building's grand interior features a large exhibition hall with an elaborate vaulted ceiling and marble columns, and has been used as a filming location on numerous occasions, most notably as the interior of Gringotts Bank in the Harry Potter film series. It remains the oldest Australian diplomatic mission in continuous operation.
