The Dresser
1983
A fading, tyrannical actor struggles through a performance of King Lear during the London Blitz, entirely dependent on his devoted and long-suffering dresser to keep him together. The film is an intimate portrait of a co-dependent relationship between two very different men nearing the end of their road.
