In Which We Serve
1942
Co-directed by Noel Coward and David Lean, this wartime drama follows the crew of a Royal Navy destroyer from its commissioning through the chaos of World War II, based loosely on the experiences of Lord Mountbatten. A patriotic and emotionally direct tribute to the men of the British fleet, filmed with a documentary-like realism.
