Partick

Partick, Glasgow, Scotland

Partick is a district on the north bank of the River Clyde in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland, situated between the River Kelvin to the east and the Clyde to the south. The area was historically a major centre for shipbuilding and related industries and was for centuries an independent burgh before being absorbed into Glasgow in 1912. Today Partick is a residential and commercial neighbourhood within the Glasgow West End, known for its tenement architecture, lively Dumbarton Road high street, and proximity to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
