Fort William
Fort William is a town in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, situated at the southern end of the Great Glen on the shores of Loch Linnhe, a sea loch. It is the largest settlement in the western Highlands and serves as the main commercial centre for the surrounding region, with road and rail connections including the West Highland Line from Glasgow. The town lies at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles at 1,345 metres, and is a major base for hillwalking, skiing, and outdoor activities.
