Staffordshire
Staffordshire is an inland county in the West Midlands of England, spanning a wide range of landscapes from the gritstone moorlands of the Staffordshire Moorlands in the north to the urban conurbation of the Black Country in the south. Cannock Chase, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides an expanse of heathland and ancient oak woodland in the centre of the county. The county has a rich industrial heritage in ceramics, centred on the Potteries towns of Stoke-on-Trent, including Burslem, Hanley, and Longton, which became synonymous with fine bone china and pottery production. Stafford serves as the county town.
