Norfolk
Norfolk is a county in the East of England, bordered on two sides by the North Sea and characterised by its broad, flat landscape of farmland, fens, and extensive coastline. The Norfolk Broads, a network of shallow lakes, rivers, and marshes in the east of the county, form a nationally important nature reserve and the UK's largest protected wetland. The north Norfolk coast, with its salt marshes, sand dunes, and seal colonies, is a haven for wildlife and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Norwich, the county town, has a fine medieval heritage including a Norman castle and cathedral and was once England's second city.
