Herefordshire, England

Herefordshire is a largely rural, landlocked county on the Welsh border in the West Midlands of England. The county is known for its fertile agricultural land, apple and pear orchards that produce world-renowned cider and perry, and the pastoral landscapes of the Wye Valley, which forms part of its western and southern border. The Black Mountains rise along the western edge where the county meets Powys and Brecon Beacons. Hereford, the county town, is famous for its medieval cathedral, which houses the Mappa Mundi, a remarkable 13th-century map of the world.
