Cumbria
Cumbria is England's second-largest county, located in the far north-west and bordering Scotland. The Lake District, which occupies much of the county, is England's largest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its glacially formed lakes, fells, and valleys. The county also includes the North Pennines to the east and the Solway coastal plain to the north. Carlisle, close to Hadrian's Wall, serves as the county town and principal city.
