Filming Locations

  • Birmingham New Street Station

    The concourse was dressed and filmed as an Abu Dhabi airport during a chase sequence. Filming took place in August 2021 during an empty period at the station.

  • Buttermere

    Tom Cruise was filmed helicoptering up to the mountain and speed-flying down into the valley. Filmed in September 2021.

  • Leavesden Studios

    Used for much of the studio-based work.

  • North Yorkshire Moors Railway

    Heritage railway doubled for Norway in the film\'s on-train action sequence, in which Ethan Hunt fights villain Gabriel on top of a steam train. Filming took place in April 2021.

  • Salisbury Plain

    Used for motorcycle stunt preparation and rehearsal sequences, including practice for the death-defying stunt in which Ethan Hunt freefalls off a cliff on a motorbike. The final version of this stunt was ultimately filmed in Norway.
