Waterloo Station
London Waterloo is the busiest railway station in the United Kingdom by passenger numbers, located on the South Bank in the London Borough of Lambeth. The station opened in 1848 and serves as the London terminus for South Western Railway services to the south and south-west of England, including lines to Southampton, Bournemouth, Exeter, and Windsor. It is connected to Waterloo Underground station, which serves the Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern, and Waterloo and City lines. The station's distinctive Victorian architecture includes the main Victory Arch entrance, built as a memorial to railway staff killed in the First World War.
