Bognor Regis
Bognor Regis is a seaside town on the West Sussex coast, situated approximately seven miles south of Chichester. The town was developed as a resort by Sir Richard Hotham in the late 18th century and received its royal suffix in 1929 following the convalescence of King George V at nearby Craigweil House. It has a long sandy beach, a traditional pier, and Butlin's Bognor Regis holiday resort, which has operated on the seafront since 1960. The town is part of the Arun district and lies within a few miles of the South Downs National Park.
