Manderston House
Manderston is an Edwardian country house near Duns in the Scottish Borders, considered one of the finest examples of the grand country house style built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Scotland. The house was remodelled between 1893 and 1905 for Sir James Miller to designs by John Kinross, with lavish interiors including a silver staircase, marble floors, and a basement entirely clad in marble. The stable block is regarded as among the most luxurious ever built in Britain. The house and gardens are periodically open to the public.
