Meath
Meath is a county in the east of Ireland in the province of Leinster, known as the Royal County due to its historic status as the seat of the High Kings of Ireland at the Hill of Tara. The county is largely low-lying and fertile, drained by the River Boyne and its tributaries. The Boyne Valley contains some of the most important Neolithic monuments in Europe, including the passage tombs of Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth. Navan is the county town.
