Louth
Louth is the smallest county by area in Ireland, located on the east coast in the province of Ulster, bordering the border with Northern Ireland to the north. Despite its small size, it contains two significant towns: Drogheda, on the River Boyne, and Dundalk, the county town, near the head of Dundalk Bay. The landscape includes a fertile coastal plain, the Cooley Peninsula, and the Cooley Mountains in the north. The county has significant historical importance, with the Battle of the Boyne site nearby and strong associations with Irish mythology.
