Cardiff
Cardiff is the capital city and largest city of Wales, situated on the south coast of Wales at the mouth of the River Taff where it flows into the Bristol Channel. The city grew dramatically in the 19th century as a result of the coal trade, becoming one of the world's busiest coal exporting ports, and today is the administrative, commercial, and cultural centre of Wales. Cardiff is home to the Welsh Government, the Senedd, the Welsh national stadium of the Principality Stadium, Cardiff Castle, and the National Museum Cardiff, and has undergone extensive regeneration of its Cardiff Bay waterfront area.
