St. Bartholomew the Great
St. Bartholomew the Great is a medieval parish church located in Smithfield, in the City of London, and is one of the oldest surviving churches in London. Founded in 1123 as part of an Augustinian priory by Rahere, a courtier of Henry I, the church retains substantial Norman fabric including its impressive chancel and ambulatory. It is a Grade I listed building and a popular filming location, well known for its atmospheric Romanesque architecture and historic cloisters.
