Windsor
Windsor is a historic market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England, situated on the south bank of the River Thames approximately 20 miles west of central London. The town is dominated by Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, which serves as a principal residence of the British monarch and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in England. Windsor Great Park, covering over 4,800 acres of parkland and woodland to the south of the castle, contains the Long Walk, a three-mile avenue of trees stretching to the equestrian statue of George III known as the Copper Horse.
