Southwold
Southwold is a small seaside town on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, situated on a slight promontory between the River Blyth and the North Sea, approximately 30 miles northeast of Ipswich. The town is characterised by colourful beach huts, a traditional pier, a lighthouse that stands in the town centre, and the Adnams brewery which has been producing beer there since 1872. Southwold retains a genteel and well-preserved character, with Georgian and Victorian buildings set around a series of greens created as firebreaks following a major fire in 1659.
