Wrotham Quarry
Wrotham Quarry is a large former chalk and limestone quarry located near Wrotham in Kent, on the North Downs. The disused quarry provides a distinctive industrial landscape of white chalk faces, spoil heaps, and open ground that has made it a popular location for film and television production, particularly for scenes requiring a dramatic or post-industrial setting. The site is listed on the Kent Film Office's database of locations and has been used for numerous productions. The surrounding area of the North Downs includes several other quarrying sites that have similarly found second lives as film locations or nature reserves.
