Wexford

Wexford is a county in the southeast of Ireland in the province of Leinster, with a long coastline along the Irish Sea and St George's Channel. The county town of Wexford is situated at the mouth of the River Slaney and is known for its medieval street layout and the world-renowned Wexford Festival Opera held each autumn. The county is characterised by fertile farmland, sandy beaches, and a rich Norman heritage reflected in its many castles and abbeys.
