Wapping
Wapping is a district in the East End of London, situated on the north bank of the River Thames between Shadwell and Wapping. It is known for its historic warehouse conversions and riverside pubs, many of which date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The area was historically a centre of maritime trade and the site of Execution Dock, where pirates were hanged. Today it forms part of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
