Theale

Theale is a large village and civil parish in the borough of West Berkshire, England, situated on the River Kennet approximately 5 kilometres west of Reading town centre. The village developed as an important staging post on the Bath Road, the historic route between London and Bath, and retains a broad high street characteristic of coaching villages. Theale is served by a railway station on the Great Western Main Line and has expanded significantly as a commuter settlement in recent decades. The Kennet and Avon Canal runs close to the village.
