The Globe Pub, Borough High Street

Borough High Street is a major road in Southwark, south London, running from London Bridge southwards toward Elephant and Castle, and has been one of the principal routes out of London since Roman times. The street is known for its historic inns, several of which survive in whole or in part, and is adjacent to Borough Market, one of London's oldest and most famous food markets. The Globe pub is one of several historic public houses associated with this important thoroughfare in the heart of Southwark.
