Stowe Gardens, Buckinghamshire, England

Stowe Landscape Garden is an 18th-century landscape garden near Buckingham in Buckinghamshire, owned and managed by the National Trust. Covering approximately 400 acres, it is considered one of the supreme achievements of the English landscape movement and was developed over several decades from the 1710s onwards by successive landscape designers including Charles Bridgeman, William Kent, and Capability Brown. The garden contains over forty temples and ornamental buildings, ponds, and carefully composed vistas. The adjacent Stowe School, a leading independent school, occupies the mansion at the heart of the estate.
