Stoke Newington

Stoke Newington is a district in the London Borough of Hackney in north London, situated approximately 4 miles north of the City of London. The area retains something of a village character within the urban fabric of north London, with a High Street of Victorian and Georgian buildings, independent shops, and a large Turkish and Kurdish community. Clissold Park, a 54-acre Victorian park with a mansion house, two lakes, and a small animal enclosure, is the main green space serving the neighbourhood.
