St. George's Hall is a magnificent neoclassical building situated in the heart of Liverpool city centre, facing Lime Street Station. Completed in 1854, it was designed by Harvey Lonsdale Elmes and finished by Charles Robert Cockerell, and is widely regarded as one of the finest neoclassical buildings in the world. The hall contains a concert room, law courts, and a grand hall with a spectacular tiled floor, and is a Grade I listed building as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site component.
