Snowdonia
Snowdonia is a national park in northwest Wales, covering approximately 838 square miles of mountainous terrain in Gwynedd and part of Conwy county. The park contains the highest mountain in Wales and England, Snowdon at 1,085 metres, as well as numerous other peaks, glacial lakes, and ancient woodlands. The area is of great significance to Welsh culture and language, with Welsh spoken as a first language by a substantial proportion of the population, and the park attracts around 4 million visitors annually.
