Shere

Shere is a picturesque village in the borough of Guildford in Surrey, situated in the valley of the Tillingbourne stream within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is frequently cited as one of the most beautiful villages in England and has been used extensively as a film and television location. Its medieval church of St James, the White Horse pub, and the stream running through the village centre give it a quintessentially English character. Shere lies within the North Downs and is approximately six miles east of Guildford.
